Hudson River PCB Clean Up Education
EPA Region 2 organized a celebration ceremony as the dredging the Hudson River PCB cleanup plan began in May 2009.
Trieste Associates was hired by Scenic Hudson to conduct an extensive grassroots public education campaign for the largest, most studied Superfund site in the country: the Hudson River PCBs Superfund site. Because of the sheer size and importance of this site, it is setting a precedent for how decisions will be made at contaminated sediment sites throughout the nation. Trieste's work was instrumental in informing the public about the remediation plan and counteracting a multi-million dollar advertising campaign by the party responsible for the contamination.
